Exhibition Gasómetro II de Baterías de Cok

Our proposal, finalist of the ideas competition for the Gasometer II of the old COK Batteries in Avilés, will be exhibited in the Palacio de Valdecarzana from 5 to 20 June 2025.

Our proposal, inserts a cube of 30 m of side that maintains intact the perimeter of the gasometer, creating 3 diaphanous floors (free plan) of 900 m2 of useful surface each one. The disc of the old gasometer is fixed on this cube and its structure is reused as an amphitheatre. The ground floor frees up the entire floor, creating a multi-purpose indoor public square.

We believe that a multi-purpose educational centre, such as a circus school, with its respective gymnasium rooms also open to the external public, could be an ideal solution. Education and public facilities, open to everyone.

In short, more than 5,000 square metres of usable space capable of accommodating any program.
