“TAGLIO & STILE” HAIRDRESSER SALON, BASEL
Brazilian Gneiss & Swiss Oak
The two furniture pieces serve to distinguish and delineate the primary areas within the hairdresser salon.
On one side, the front section is characterized by an elongated working surface designed for three hairdressers. Conversely, a compact counter is designated for the back-of-house functions, including a cash machine, fridge, coffee machine, waste bin, storage, radio, and more.
Both of these furniture items are crafted from a combination of two materials: wood and stone. Swiss oak has been selected for the wood component, while Brazilian gneiss, specifically the "Marinace verde" variant, is used for the stone portion due to its exceptional resilience and long-lasting quality. The green variations in the stone add a refreshing twist to the classic oak.
Due to the owner's strong passion for classic cars, we decided to recycle and use handles from a vintage automobile.
